A look at the Southern Californian brand making waves with military inspired gear for the street

Founded in Southern California by Andy Laats and Chad DiNenna, both from the action sports industry, Nixon began in 1998 with a mission to develop refined products with great attention to detail and a style ethos of custom originality.

Nixon’s range of custom-built products was first introduced at retail via independent boardsport retailers, including surf, skate, & snow shops.

Now sold in 80 countries worldwide, the company’s products are influenced by the real-life travels and adventures of its team. That may sound like a corny company tagline but in the case of Nixon it is 100% true, these guys really live it.

The founders are from the action sports industry and the brand even holds an annual surf competition called the Nixon Surf Challenge and a snowboard event called Nixon JibFest.

Nixon has a range of quality military-inspired gear including bags, watches and some camo apparel.

Nixon has a wide range of military-inspired bags from genuine tactical packs with MOLLE webbing to backpacks, messenger bags, roller bags and duffel bags, with some great colorways and a couple of cool camo prints.

Nixon sells many models of wristwatches, digital and analog, for men and women, with movements from Japan and Switzerland. As part of the Guerrilla Tactics Collection, some are available with camouflage bands.

Can't find a watch that matched you completely? No problem. Nixon Time Teller Nixon enables customers to design their own custom watch.

Nixon has some cool camo lids and a decent range of apparel and accessories including T-shirts, sweatshirts, wallets, belts, caps and beanies.

Camo Volt Collection

For 2019, an assemblage of Nixon’s most functional packs, belts, and wallets sees some of their most popular products dressed in a subtle olive camo with an electric shock of high visibility fluorescent yellow. Warning: the high vis might affect the performance of the camouflage, particularly at night.
